I think I would have had a heart attack! That's quite a jump...as another had said, I wonder if you have to meet an out of pocket dollar amount before your co pays go into effect. I couldn't imagine paying that much each month for Pulmozyme. I am lucky to have Medicare part B to pick that one up with Medigap insurance paying the remaining %20 of the cost.
I would look into that amount, that's a huge difference!

You can also look into the Pulmozyme patient assistance copay program. This will cover some toward the copay and with how expensive Pulmozyme is every little bit helps. Thank god for insurance and secondary insurance for those of us who have it.

A friend of mine who has BCBS in our state just posted on FB that their insurance changed and because most of her daughter's meds are not generic, they have to pay 20% of the costs and her out of pocket max is $5000. Crazy!

Wow, that's crazy! The retail price on our statement is $2082, but that was in December. We have not had it filled this year yet so I'm curious to see if there is a difference. Definitely check into the co-pay assistance program. We started using it last year.
