Post TX I have had 15-20 and they usely want one twice a year. If I am doing well I can slide. If I am having any issues they insist. Since they can recall my lungs and may not give me another set if I ever need them, I will comply. I would rather have a BG than another TX.
I've had one of these done before and I was PETRIFIED! They gave me emla but it didn't ease my worry. It was ok to be honest, the thought was much worse. The pain after is like a dull growing pain. They wanted to repeat them about six weeks ago but I refused so what they did was they took blood from a vein and checked it and told me if it looked bad they'd HAVE to do an arterial one. Thankfully the one from the vein was enough!
