I have never understood how it is more humane to have an animal put to sleep because it was sick and suffering but a person is allowed to suffer until the bitter end. I am not a religious person at all but I still have this fear that if I were to opt for an assisted suicide I might not be able to see my son on the other side again. For that reason alone I don't think I could do it but that is my choice the same as it should be anyone else's choice should they decide to go for it.
