As adults, what advice can you give?

Hey Dan,

Yeah, my mother NEVER let me drink soda growing up, (I mean, if she caught me I got grounded)<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">
Maybe a little harsh...but I think sticking with that principle. Also she forced me to drink milk with every meal. (unless of course you have an allergy or overly mucousy reaction) She also gave me a mulit vit (high quality) every day. And when I was on IV's she made me take a 20 min walk with her every day. I hated it all!! I whined and said 'but I'm sick!' She always kept me outside, whether it was gardening together, making forts, all that stuff. I was always allowed to get as dirty as I wanted to keep me outside and active.
Come to think of it, I should call her and thank her for all that stuff.
Try to think of fun outside stuff you can do together, it doesn't have to be just organized sports. Hunting, fishing, hiking trips, building clubhouses. Starting a vegetable garden together. Even having a dog could give your kid outside fun and responsibilities.
