Jason,

I cultured it back when I was about 15. Tried sporonax and could only tolerate it (tummy trouble) for a few months. I went off it and we just watched to see what, if anything, the aspergilus did. It didn't really effect my pfts that I remember and they were ok not treating it unless it caused problems. It hasn't shown up in cultures since (knock wood). Best of luck to you with your treatment for it...

My daughter, Zoe cultured Aspergillus last year. They did not treat it. I did my own research on the internet....as long as you do not have ABPA (allergic) to it....then they do not normally treat it. Zoe hasn't cultured it since that one culture.
Good luck!

I am currently taking Vfend for APGA... They are not one hundred percent sure what is going on with me.....but some type of allergic reaction

Vfend cost $2600.00 a month for me to take out of pocket and the drug company should be ashamed of themselves because in order to qualify for patient assitance you need to be 400 times below the poverty level..

Anyway.. I will let you know if it works...
