Aztreanam, anyone???

Hi,

What is this Aztreanam medicine for the nebuliser?
I use an e flow and I have never heard of this medication before. Could you tell me if they sell this world wide? As I live in New Zealand.
I'm currently using Coly Mycin via the e flow.

Hi Sarah,

The aztreonam Joy and I are taking right now is not for the eflow. It is for the regular nebulizer, like a Pari LC Plus and it is not considered a conventional CF treatment because we are inhaling the form of Aztreonam that is meant for the IV. My pharmacy orders 56 vials of Aztreonam powder and I reconstitute it with sterile water immediately before inhalation. I believe the Aztreonam Lysine mentioned above is pre-mixed, only available for the eflow and not available yet, unless you are in the phase III of the study, which I am not.
