Thats a shame about tobi. Have you ever mentioned inhaling fortaz to your Dr? Or did you even know you could? O used to inhale that a few years back and it seemed pretty effective at the time. You have to mix it up yourself like the old days with tobramycin ( before tobi came out). Maybe you might have better success with that one? To be perfectly honest i dont like inhaling anything, because most things can be irritating. Collistin was the worst for me. I dont use the Pari because it made me feel like i was suffocating ( i cant figure it out either) i have nbeen using the Side Stream for the Pulmozyme and the acorn for the Tobi . Have you ever used these? Could you maybe handle them better ? I wish i had more ideas for you ....

You mention that you feel like you are suffocating. Is that while you are inhaling or something that persists all day. With me, I would get a little tight while inhaling the nebs, but it would get worse throughout the rest of the day, to the point where it was hard to walk.

I have not tried tobi w/ the sidestream or the acorn. From what I understand you get less medecine in your lungs from the sidestream. That may be why you don't feel the same effect. It might be worth asking my RT about though.

I used the Acorn II in the hospital. What kind of compressor do you hook the acorn II nebulizer up to?

I have not tried inhaling fortaz.

Yes, I started exercising lightly on my rowing machine about a week ago.

Only while i would be inhaling the medicine thru the Pari did i feel like i was suffocating. I actually went as far as to rip off that little blue flap from the mouth piece so i felt like i was getting air while i inhaled. It did make it a bit easier on me. Are you using albuterol before inhaling your other meds?
I do know that the sidestream "wastes" some of the medicine, but it's better to get most of the medicine in than none in my eyes. I have the devilbiss Pulmo-aide compressor.
Im glad you are back to lightly exercising. Keep up the good work !!
