I suggest the hydrogen peroxide or alcohol method as described and endorsed by the CFF.ORG. They also have a bleach method but I believe the exposure to bleach is not worth it. I use the hydrogen peroxide method. THe boiling I did for years but finally decided that mineral buildup (white powder) wasn't good for my lungs.

Pari LC PLus nebs can be sterilized in MICROWAVE by putting them in a baby bottle steamer.

You should replace your neb cups about every 6 months I believe. I dont boil my nebs after each use , my doc said that it was ok to rinse if your going to use it again later that day, then you would need to boil them. I get lazy and just wash them with dish soap and hot water, then use again the next day or wash them in the dishwasher.

clean dirty plates with that! Probably small particles of

You should be washing your nebs in the dishwasher on their own with no dishes in with them. I personally wouldn't use the dishwasher method, but if you're only washing your nebs in the washer then it should be fine.

I pre wash my dishes, so there is NO food on them. Doc never said anything about not doing it, of course I never asked him about either just assumed it was fine, Ill still do that.

Eh I'm bad.

I use one PARI LC Plus for a day, sit it aside. The after I cycle through them (I have 7 but I use them in groups so that one group is always clean) I soak them in soapy water, rinse(yes with tap water) and then boil for 10 minutes

If I had to boil them every day, I probably wouldn't do my nebs regularly because its such a pain. This way I only have to boil every 3-4 days. I have an Acapella, a Flutter and two PEPs so they get switched too and then cleaned.

Course thats a risk I'm willing to take and like I say, if I had to boil every day and use a clean, fresh nebulizer for every treatment...well my treatments wouldn't get done! Considering I do nebs 3-4 times a day
