back pain and iv antibiotics...

hello everyone!

I just start with iv´s this friday, my doc put me on Meronem and Nebcina. I have had this 2 antibiotics before and it has worked good. But now i feel a very bad pain in my back, it´s not the whole back it´s just over the lungs when i start to take the antibiotics and after it, I have no idea if it´s a side effect from the antibiotics but i think so. and the pain comeing and go..

I wonder if someone have feel the same as me? and what are you doing about it?

Have you mentioned this to your doctor or a home health aide that may come by to help w/ IV's?
I would suggest that you do this to make sure that you shouldn't discontinue the antibiotics for any reason.

I am not familiar with the meds you are on, but something isnt right. Whether its connected to the meds or not, you need to address it with the Dr. I hope the pain doesnt interfere with your treatments. I know back pain that I had did!

thanks for the answers. I going to talk with my doc about it. maybe she can give me some other iv meds but hope the back pain is not from the meds.
