Bacteria acquisition

Okay...I understand the medical reasoning as to why CF lungs are susceptible to infection, but how are the various bacteria acquired? I understand the whole cascade effect in that this bacteria appears before this one and so on in the progression of CF lung infection. BUT, forgive me for being a newbie...do the bacteria only enter the lungs through inhalation?

Like tnt124 says those bacteria are in the air, come from all different places and we breath them in.

Every person breathes them in, non-CF people breath pseudo and such typical CF bacteria in too. The difference is that they don't have the sticky mucous so that bacteria don't get trapped inthere and multiply easily.
They can get rid of it easily and ofcourse they are healthy and never have cultured. But I think that when you would take very regular cultures from everyone that mostly all people will culture it sometime...
