Had to jump in here...

I try to get a foundation that's just half a shade darker than natural skin color. Somehow, maybe this makes me look less pale?

Also, when I take pictures to "share" with others, I try to have them taken outside...then I don't look so pale & sickly, IMO.

I've enjoyed reading all of the tips!

Thanks, Night. I was sort of wondering about the safety of it... hmm... now i'm going to have to fork over a few hundred bucks for some fancy eye cream. Ugh.

And James, I love that you jumped in here. You are one cool, funny dude! Be careful with the cortisone cream -- I like it too. But my doctor just told me not to use it. It thins the skin which will make your problem worse in the long run. I think I once read, not to use it for more than 3 weeks at a time.

I just turned 38 and I have a young toddler so I hear ya! I've always struggled with low energy days and I hate having an appearance that gives the impression that I'm depressed when I really just don't have the energy to spare on appearance. Now that I'm a stay at home mom the pressure is off but my daughter is not a newborn so I have no excuse anymore!
Face (under eyes, nostril area: Aquaphor
Face/body thick cream: cetaphil or generic version from CVS
Make-up: tinted Burts Bees lipgloss (stick form so easy to apply) and anything else I manage to put on. A layer of moisturizer topped with translucent powder makes me look fresher and adds color to my very pale skin.
Hair: dying it seems to make the oil on my roots less obvious so I can wash every other day. On off days I wash around my temples to freshen it or put it up in a ponytail with hair gel. I really dye it to cover my snow white hairs though. My hair is mostly straight and fine so I wear it long and layered without having to blow dry. I just use some product to smooth it and lift the roots.
Clothes: my clothes are simple and easy to wash. I like dark bootcut jeans and a turtleneck for winter with low black boots. Oh, and I try to keep out only what is in season and fits so that I can grab my outfits faster. I use those Ziplock Big Bags to store clothes in the back of my closet. Keeping my handbag and shoes neutral so I don't have to worry about matching helps.

For make-up I tend to use as little as possible...

I have a TON of lip gloss etc..etc..so I LOVE to use the sally hansen shea butter lip shimmer, and their lip gloss is amazing to bring out the lips and add a little bit of color...I also use burts bees lip shimmers because they are like the chapstick with color to match the lips...

For foundation I use NYC mineral foundation...its a really white color to match my skin since im so pale but I love it cuz it blocks the redding of my cheeks on prednizone...

I tend to not use mascara since I wear glasses and am always rubbing my eyes...but I have origins mascara in black that works well...

And for under my eyes I would use something I bought from sephora but I hardly use that anymore with the foundation...

Ive been wanting to get my haircut for months now. I HATE MY long hair. Its so hard to deal with and it tangles so damn easy I HATE it. So I am def. going to get it cut asap.

For clothes I tend to wear alot of hooded sweatshirts and jeans and my harley boots or clogs. Otherwise its sweatpants and tank for me!!

Hehe this was a fun topic
