I was told by my CF clinic that any form of the pill was not good for CF pateints, simply because it goes through your digestive system. By not good, I mean less effective, its fat soluble and obv we CFers have problems digesting fats.

I use the nuvaring, just started it about three months ago tho. So far I like it alot, like someone said, its really easy to use, you really dont have to worry about it. Its not likely to just fall out or come unstuck like the patch (which I was on before). Its actually cheaper for me as well, compared to the patch. Obv something generic would be much cheaper, like some forms of the pill.

The ring/patch is also less likely to interfere with oral abx b/c it doesnt go through your digestive system. And since I am on oral abx a lot, thats good for me.

I was told by my gyn that I might have problems with the patch sticking to my salty skin.
