Wow thanks guys...I mean gals LOL!

BC pills are less effective while on abx, but abx are still effective. The pharmacy I use always tells me to use a back up meathod whenever I fill an abx scrip. The same goes for the patch and the nuva-ring.

Hold that thought! I went off depo for 2 reasons: 1, I had NO sex drive. 2, it can cause bone loss becuase of the type of hormone in it. I have enough problems with that thank you very much. Its better for CFers to have an estrogen based hormonal BC. Estrogen actually helps you retain bone mass.

So then for me, someone on 2-3 abx all the time, what would be the point of BC? I mean if I still need to use back up doesn't that really defeat the whole purpose of BC (I'm talking in a monogomous relationship not one night stands with the risks of STDs)?

Not that I am so s*xually active I need to worry but I would like to go on something since I have decided no kids for me and don't want a surprise.
