Bleached towels/clothes?

And yet another one from me...

My husband and I are both ddf508 carriers - we both find bleach spots on certain colors of clothing and towels after we've used them (namely, shades of green). I know it's another oddball question, but do any of you parents (as CF gene carriers) or CF individuals find the same thing? I've always wanted to find out the answer as to why this happens and now wonder if it's because we have some MILD issue with our NaCl channel as carriers. Bleach is made of Na and Cl...would it be too far fetched to surmise that this might be the answer (i.e., we, as carriers, are losing Na Cl in an altered way?). Call me crazy...it's okay...I'm really curious if anyone else has experienced this! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My husband carries DF508. When he sweats while wearing dark clothes, I can see a white line. He also has a "different" odor to him when he sweats, it burns our noses. It is almost a bleachy odor, mixed with stink, lol.

My son was tested because he has had asthma issues from almost birth, and he is not even a carrier. He doesn't have this issue.

My oldest daughter has not been tested (no symptoms at all), and she also has the white lines and "different" odor. She was stinky (sweat-wise) as a baby. We are wondering if she might be a carrier as well, she plans to get checked before getting married.
