I used to get that problem a lot before I started on Prilosec. Could your problem be acid? If you are not already on prilosec, I would suggest trying it. Once I started it, I felt and have felt ten times better. If I skip a prilosec, I can def tell.

Good luck</end quote>

I took Zegerid for a while & had problems w/ that, so they changed it to Protonix. I'd taken that for 6 yrs before, but this time around I had bad problems with it (bloating was one of them), so we went to Prilosec. I take it twice a day but I'm starting to wonder if it's causing the bloating. It's weird that I'm having problems with all of the reflux meds., especially when I took Protonix for so long w/ no problem (then ins. wouldn't cover it anymore!). I have to have something for reflux, so if the prilosec is doing this, I don't know what they'll try next.

I just know I can't stand this bloating problem, tho, it makes me feel miserable and grouchy!!!

I hadn't thought about it until I read what Caitlin said, and I guess mine has gotten better since I started my Nexium too. I was also treated H. pylori around that time too, and my stomach issues improved tenfold. I didn't have ulcers, just bad stomach issues. It's just a blood test to get checked, if you haven't been diagnosed with it within the last year . For some odd reason, it also got better when I started the HS. Now it is only occasional, instead of everyday. Gas X helps me too, and so does one diet Dr. Pepper sometimes . I guess it is the caffeine?

Ugh, I feel for you! I hate feeling that way.
