Blood drawn from port today..

I got my port accessed earlier today (in hospital) and when they got blood from it she said there were small pieces of fat in the blood. I'm underweight already and barely have any fat at all on my body, how is it in my blood? Anyone else had this before? She said something about my lipids but whatever it was she assured me it was my blood stream and nothing wrong with the port.

Crikey - how odd. Never had it happen, but my best logical guess is that there is some subcutaneous fatty tissue right under the port due to scarring ect that maybe leaked into the bloodstream accessed by your port. Where is the port located? x
