Blood glucose test

Bek's doc wants to do a blood glucose test on Bek in the morning. My only question is (since I forgot to ask the nurse practitioner) how long will it be before I know the results of the test??

They don't suspect it, but since 'buggies' like high sugar content environments, they just want to make sure they can rule it out.

*keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!*

I think last time we found out within a day or so.

We're going through the same thing right now with my eight year old...every year after annual labs, we get a call that her sugar levels are a little higher than what they would like them to be. We're off next week to do a fasting glucose....*sigh* every year I think to myself "she doesn't deserve anything else..CF is enough" We're just keeping the faith, and saying many prayers..

My daughter just did the OGTT (after an 8 hour fast) Monday morning at a local lab, and her CF doctor had the results yesterday afternoon, so within 24 hours.

BTW, the results were fine<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> But now we still have to figure out why she cannot gain weight<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> She has dropped from the 50% to the 10% in about 4 years...sighhhhhh.....
