blood tests?

Hi all!

I have a question about my 13 month old. She had five vials of blood taken on wednesday morning and hasn't been the same since (it's now sunday). She's been whiny and crying and running a fever off and on. Nothing seems to be making her happy. She's also been spitting up (which she hasn't done in months) and she's lethargic. The doctor said it would take a couple days for her to get back to normal. But I was wondering how long is too long? Has anyone had a similar experience with their little one and having blood drawn.

Thanks!

I think that is too long. I've never had Alyssa react that way. I'd call the on-call today. I'd be worried about an infection or dehydration.

That happens to me. I cannot donate blood or plasma. I'm "borderline anemic" & hypoglycemic. When was the last time they checked your daughters levels?

I think you should call or take her in. Keep us posted.

I agree with the other ladies but also, what is the reason behind the blood drawls? just routine or was she getting sick? It may not have anything to do with the blood, but then again, it could be.
