Boiling Nebs

Hi all,

We just got back from vacation and I found something that really worked well for me._________________I always clean my nebs by boiling them in water, but while on vacation, I do not always have access to a microwave. My mom has a GE hot pot for boiling small amounts of water for tea, etc. and I took that with me. It just plugs into an outlet and in a few minutes the water boils._________________I put my neb pieces directly into that and I could boil them very easily. It worked great!!!_________________Just wanted to share in case anyone else can benefit from this. Sorry about the lines. I type in paragraph spacings and it always comes out without spaces, so I'm am using the lines as paragraph markings.

That's a good idea! I have a hot pot- my sister brought it to me when I was in the hospital, so I could make cocoa in my room! lol

Just make sure they aren't touching the bottom of the pot- it may be hot enough to melt/warp them

Thanks for the tip, Becki! It is always so hard to travel since our bodies are so high maintenance! I have thought about the hot pot idea, but I dismissed it, as I thought, like AnD, that they would melt if they touched the bottom.

How did you do it? Just one at a time so they wouldn't touch the bottom?

Thanks again,
Kris

I stuck them all in at once. (two pari nebs) Hers is a decent sized pot so they fit fine and were kind of floating. I didn't think to watch that they didn't touch the hot plate. Nothing melted so I'm not going to worry about it too much. Worse case scenario, I guess you could bring an extra set just in case something did happen.
