Bra Purchases

How does underwire weaken the body?!? I don't get that. Plus that whole cancer-underwire thing is a myth. Same with the deoderant-cancer ting. Stuff like that gets passed around and everyone believes it but do you notice how there is never a medical school or study mentioned in those emails?

Even being small chested I buy expensive bras. I am only a 32B so it kinda happens by default since the only bras I can find in my size are from Victoria's Secret or Fredericks of Hollywood. I just wait for their sales though and usually get a pretty good deal. Plus they are ALWAYS more comfortable and last longer than cheap ones.

Mmm, as much as people say 'make sure you're wearing the right bra', I have never found one that's completely perfect. I can go to a shop, get measured and let them choose one for me that they say fits, but they're never perfect!

Anyway, I also have the most luck with sports bras (I am a 34D) but have to have some more practical ones for dresses, singlets, etc. I usually buy about two a year to replace others that die on me

I've been searching for the right bra now fro a while. I"ve lost about 24 pounds in the last year and my bras are too big! Some of my bras i can't wear due to them rubbing on my port (it's now on my left sied above my breast. ( it was on my right side above my breast , that one died after 9.5 years!) I've tried Walmart bras in the past but alwasy ened up going to Famous Barr and getting Maidenform. I went to Wal Mart a couple of weeks ago and spent sometime trying on bras and just can't find any that feel comfortable. I guess i may have to try Victoria's secret!

Scarlett81-(and anyone else with 'bigger' chest and preggo issues)-wanted to drop a note to say that alothough I was 'barely a C' pre-preggo I am now a um 36F-yikes I know, while nursing. Anyway I would highly recommend Bravado bras - they have pregnancy bras taht 'grow with you' and they have the #1 best nursing bras (they are the only ones that hold you up so it doesnt look like saggy baggy without giving you a uniboob). If your lactation center does not have a fitting room then you can order them online just google them.

If anyone ever watches oprah you will know that majority women wear wrong size so get fitted and invest if you are a C or larger! I didnt used to but it is sooo worth it!

Has anyone heard of a "bra-baby" to wash bra's in? it suppose to help keep the shape in the wash, I havent tried it but thought about it. Has anyone ever used one? Is it any good?</end quote>

I dont have the Bra Baby, but i did purchase something similar from Sears while i was there. I cant remember what it is called, but it is shaped like a round birthday cake. Its about 8 inches round and about 6 inches high. The top has a zipper that opens the whole top so you can put the bra or bras in it. I LOVE this thing. It keeps my new bras looking new, they havent lost their shape and it also keeps them from "pilling" .

The one bra I have that I like the way it fits is a Fruit of the Loom sports bra from Walmart (it's the one they don't carry anymore in my size). I haven't had a truly good fitting, comfortable and good lift, etc. since I got this size (years ago). I'll give the bra shop a try, and we'll see....

I actually made the switch because I was sick of VS underwear not working for me. I like one stop shopping and the opportunity to buy matching sets hence I probably won't shop at Vicky's anymore. The cotton crotch is always too far back for me and my actual girlie goodies are on the non cotton area making for not a good situation... sorry if that was TMI. Anyone else have this problem?

It's not tmi for me! I have the same problem...
