I have 2 CF kids and I breastfed both of them until they were 2 years old. I had a little help from a drug called Domperdone which increases breastmilk supply. Without it I probably would of went to formula when my first failed to thrive. With my second child she had horrible spit up (like her entire lunch) and I again needed Domperdone to keep my breastmilk supply up.
And come to think of it my 2nd also was a slow gainer in the beginning. She was really long and was 10lbs at birth and she didn't gain much in the beginning. I finally went against medical advice and gave her extra enzymes before she gained.
