Wonderful news! Does your wife help to beat you too, to get all that junk out? Also wondering if hypertonic saline is available in your area?

Also, would a fan work at nights, sort of act like a white noise machine to filter out the noise from your monster-in-law? A couple of DH's cousins stay with us from time to time and I always put a fan in the guest room because that's what they're used to having at home.

I glad it's working! Hopefully, you will be getting better rest with a better sleep, and you'll a least have a little bit more energy soon. I second the fan suggestion- it really does work. We had a alarm clock in our daughter's room up until last week (it finally croaked) that had a "soothing sounds" option on it. We put it on "summer night" (crickets) and it worked like a charm .

I guess the major test would be to not have a coughing fit after a rigorous argument with the murder-in-law!!
I'm still dozing off on the train in the am, and have found myself to almost fall completely asleep on the way home, too!! Must be that soothing "clackety-clack" of the train wheels!!
I've been beaten by the wife a few times, I suppose asking for more "beatings" might help, now that the lungs are opening up!!
Thank you all for the input, it has been a somewhat rewarding beginning, yet tough because of having to get up so early, and sometimes be up so late...hope I get into a routine in which even if I don't see any difference, it's not something to neglect...considering this is my first in 42 years to have to put nebbing in my daily lifestyle.
