I know some of you have gone here for the transplant program- I had my first visit today & I am going to be starting the eval. soon- they told me it takes 3 months for the process...is that true? I thought it would be a lot shorter than that. I know there is a lot of testing to do. Just wondering...

I don't know about Brighams, but where I got my transplant it took about a month. It depends on how quickly they can get all the test scheduled, the results back, and make a decision. Mine might have taken less time because they did many of the tests while I was inpatient. In that case, if a doctor orders a test, it gets done right away instead of in a few weeks like outpatient.

Amy, when Mike got evaluated at Brighams I think it took about 2 weeks. I think he went in every day? I'll ask him and get back to you. Email him if you still have his email address, he'd love to tell you about it.
