Clinical trial phase III finds bronchitol is efective for the treatment of bronchiectasies.

</a>Bronchitol seems to work in a similar way to hypertonic saline, but with a dry powder inhaler, (faster and easier to use). Phase III trial in bronchiectasies patients has finished and it shows it´s safe and effective. Trials on cystic fibrosis patients are being carried on.
Anybody knows anything else about bronchitol? do you know in how many years could it be approved?

How fast it could get approved depends upon pharmaxis and the FDA, I work for Pfizer and when we get a drug approved the delivery to customer time depends upon approval process whcih can be done quickly if a company has everythign exactly as i tshould (quickly being a year or so) then there is rpoduction time which depends on product and if they expect a big demand they need ot have enough produced before they start advertising to docs so that they dont end up with patients using medicine then running out due to back order. All of these factors are highly variable for each case. It could be 1.5 years or never depending on rest data crunching etc.
