Bronchodialator stuff

Hi,

I'm just taking a little "poll" to see what ya'll use for "opening up" your lungs in the form of a bronchodialator before you nebulize your medications. Do you use albuterol, atrovent, xopenex, or another one? Do you use one, more than one, or all of the above-mentioned?

Just curious what everyone is on currently and how it works for you?

I currently do albuterol 2X per day before my daily nebbed meds/antibiotics and atrovent 1X per day with my night treatment mixed with the albuterol. I find the albuterol seems to really work.. not too sure about the atrovent. I had stopped it for awhile though, and my chest seemed tighter (even though doc said I didn't need it), so I started again.

I am on Serevent, 2 puffs in the morning and 2 in the evening. It really helps me. I woke up feeling very short of breath one time last week when i had forgot to take it before going to bed. After about 30 minutes i felt much better again.

Xopenex nebs TID (MDI as needed) and Advair BID for me. I also have Spirivia but it isn't really prescribed I just get samples from a doctors office.

DS uses albuterol and atrovent mixed together 3 times a day regularly -- extra treatment and beating if he's feeling sick.

I'm on Advair 250's twice a day along with the nebulizers...I was on Nasonex too, but recently went off of it. I was on that for about three years b/c of polyp in the right nostril, but , still there. It did help with my sense of smell/stuffiness though.

I take advair 100/50 2X per day and two puffs of albuteral before HS treatments (2X per day).

This works real well for me.

Is advair a bronchodialator? I take 500/50, but usually take it AFTER my other nebs.

Also, zithromax ... do you mean the pill form? Is that considered a bronchodialator?

Thanks-

I don't do nebs, but I use Symbicort 2x day, and Bricanyl when required. I only notice a slight difference, but it's definitely there
