"Bubbley" feeling in my right lung

Hi Everyone,
I've had this weird bubbley feeling in my right lung since I woke up this morning. The feeling is down towards the bottom of my rib cage. Ususlly when I get this feeling its blood... I'll just cough it up and then its gone. But theres no blood... just all the normal stuff. I've done my vest, my ventolin and even postral drainage, I cannot get it to go away and its driving me crazy!! I'd call my doctor but its too late in the night. Any advice or thoughts????
Thanks,
Jennie

No, its not wheezing. I've had plenty of wheezing and this is very different.
But thanks anyway.
Anyone else have an idea?

Do you have anyone that is able to do manual CPT for you? When I feel movement or crackling that I can pinpoint to a ceratin area I usually have someone do CPT in that area and it helps to loosen it. What about breathing techniques? I know Amy has mentioned several breathing techniques as well as Risa in the past - if you search you may find a useful technique that will help you.

I know for me I tend to take in a deep breath and kind of huff it out that in turn causes me to cough - especially when there is junk in my airway. It may take several minutes to get all the crap out of the airways, but when I finish that huffing I feel a whole heck of alot better. Often when there is alot of junk in my airways I get the urge to cough almost immediately once I start to huff the air out. I just go with it and end up usually getting up a good amount of stuff. If you do try that and do not feel anything right away - try it a few times. Warning though if it does induce coughing I know for me it can be pretty strong coughing so just be prepared.

Hope it goes away I know those lung/breathing noises can drive you insane.

Take Care,
Lindsey

I understand the stress you are talking about.

I ended up going into the hospital for IVs just over a week ago. I was having times where I could hear and feel stuff moving around in my lungs and I couldn't dislodge it. I would try and try and try. I did hours of vest treatment doubled my albuterol treatments - increased my saline, increased my water intake had people do CPT on me and would hack and cough for good chunks of time and still when I went to stop and rest there it would be that nagging sound of shifting mucus/sputum or whatever it was in my lungs like it was clinging to my airways, and I could just hear the air blowing through it with each breath (I know gross and maybe an overshare - but highly frustrating and upsetting that I couldn't get rid of it). Within a day of starting IVs that stuff was gone. I am still on IVs as I sit here - for another week at least. I just wanted to let you know that I understand your worry - I do not get bleeds really so I do not comprehend that fear as well but the worry that there is something more serious going on I get that.

I will be thinking of you and hoping that it starts to improve and go away.
