Hi everyone - I am a 35 year mom of two. My daughter,
Presley, is 11 and my son, Dylan, is 8. They both have CF.
I play bunco once a month and have been to several huge bunco
fundraisers in the past, so being the "I can do that bigger
and better" person that I am, I decided to put on my own
fundraiser for CF. I live in central Arkansas and will be
having this fundraiser on November 17th. If anyone has held a
fundraiser of this type before please let me know, I am up for any
and all advice that you can give! I have already raised over
$500 (to me that is a lot) but am going for much, much more.
I sent out over 150 letters to companies in the area and even
got a weatherman from a local television station to host the event.
I have sent e-mails to all the local tv stations, newspapers,
radio stations and anyone and everyone I can think of, and I'm
still not getting the response I hoped for. Help!
Trish,
First of all, thank you for your fundraising efforts for cf. I am not sure what help you are looking for. Have you called your local CF Foundation office? Perhaps they can give you some advice. Hope your children are doing well.

I have fundraised for Great Strides for the past few years. E-mail me at sdelorenzo@sbcglobal.net and I can pass some ideas on to you.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 5 and Jack, 3 both with cf

I live in Central Arkansas and my son is 12 and has CF. Send me th info. and I am there. My Email is Hardin711@msn.com. Sam has had a Great Strides team since he was 1. Some years we do great some years we don't do so great. It is hard to raise money for CF. I don't know what Bunco is but I am a good learner lol and I am currently unemployed so I have lots of free time when we are not doing treatments and going to the Dr.
