Buteyko Breathing

I just stumbled across a breathing method called Buteyko breathing. Basically what his logic is that we overbreath causing us to lose too much co2 so you dont transfer oxygen. This method is geared toward asthmatics but i have a feeling this may help people in the cf community. You can go on youtube.com and type in Buteyko breathing exercises and learn how to do it and start implementing it today. I hope this helps others!

I remember when this 'came out' years ago, I mentioned it to my physio and she said it was fantastic for asthmatics but not suitable for CF at all. I can't remember exactly why, maybe because we have a different problem? I'm not sure.

I'm going to pursue this breating for a couple of months and see what kind of results that it yields me. This type of breathing is used specifically for inflammation which seems to be a big problem for me and maybe other cf'ers out there. ill continue with all of my normal meds as well and update or log if i feel inflammation go down or other things that may occur in this time period. i feel that it is worth a shot!
