California CF Clinics

Hello.

Just wondering if anyone has any information or experience with the Sacramento CF clinic for adults? We may be stationed there in the next year or two and I'm just trying to gain some insight into what you like/dislike, etc.

Also, if you don't have experience with Sacramento, are there any other clinics in Cali that are within a couple hours' drive that you are familiar with? Could you share information about any clinics that are within 2-3 hours from Sacramento? We won't be able to drive all the way to southern Cali, so LA and the like are out, but I'm interested in stuff near Sacramento area....

Thanks for any information and experiences you can share! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

we've considered moving to CA to be closer to family so I looked on the cff.org site to see how the clinics were. They now have individual clinic info. UCSF and Stanford both looked good and I believe UC Davis was also supposed to be good.

Hi Sonia,

I go to the adult CF clinic in Sacramento. The CF doctors are fantastic, and the whole team I feel is great, knowledgeable, very supportive and compassionate.

If you do come here, make sure you get the CF team to fill you in on GHPP (a financial program funded through the state to help people with CF). This is important, and will help with finances, if you need it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questios I can answer for you. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Just wanted to add that we go to the peds CF clinic at Stanford and we love it. It's about a 1 hour and 45 minute drive for us. We are military as well.
