Just wanted to add that we go to the peds CF clinic at Stanford and we love it. It's about a 1 hour and 45 minute drive for us. We are military as well.

I have been to Stanford and am currently being seen at UC Davis. I prefer Stanford, which is about a 3 hour drive from Sacramento (including 2 toll bridges - yuck). UC davis is not a bad CF Center. As Barbara said, the entire staff is fairly knowledgeable and pretty much makes you feel like a partner in care as opposed to merely their "patient". In other words, they listen to you and value your input in decisions about your care.

Inpatient care is better at Stanford in my opinion. I could go on and on about Stanford though I was diagnosed there and seen there for many, many years so even though I can't complain much about UCD, I feel like I'm biased toward Stanford simply for that reason alone. Anyway, feel free to send me a private message with specific questions - I'd be happy to share any and all my experiences at both centers with you, I just don't want to ramble on and take up space here in the forum..unless people want to hear

We just switched to Stanford. It is an 8 hour drive for us, but we live in a remote area so nothing is close! We were very impressed with everyone there and feel the drive is worth it for the health of our daughters. We were not happy with another clinic we tried in southern California.
