Well I did find out yesterday at our parent-teacher conference that: when adding large numbers, what we used to call "carry the one" is now called "re-grouping" <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

LOL Mel, my kids ask when Dad is coming home so he can help with math HW.

That's funny Melissa! Several years ago I had to take a test for a Temp agency and they said fractions and percents would be on the test. I got nervous. So I went to my sons school and they gave me a 4th grade Math Book to look at. I felt so stupid. LOL!

And the way they teach Austin to do his math is different from how I was taught.

And the way they teach Austin to do his math is different from how I was taught.

Jeanne, I think we got it figured out. Thanks to the internet & Robert & a few tears from 9th grade algebra post traumatic stress. Can anyone say FLASHBACK!
