As far as backpacking i go some but not a whole lot, when you backpack you want your pack as light as you can get it and a portable neb gets really heavy fast so i avoid backpacking, shouldn't but it is a hassle. I have gone on a couple of 25mile hikes that i drug the portable neb with me

Thank you all so much for these replies!! I was going to go anyway, but now I can actually feel good about it instead of thinking I'd have to compromise my compliance (and then feel guilty about it). GREAT suggestions - thanks again.

We have camped in Yellowstone and all over the Pacific Northwest starting when Andrew was 6 months old.

Call us crazy, but a few years ago, Andrew was discharged from the hospital the day before the opener for Deer season ( prior agreement with the CF doc ).
You guessed it, we had everything together, packed up the IV supplies and , with the CF doc's blessing, took Andrew up deer hunting for the weekend. He never missed a treatment. The only concession he made was, he came back to the camper where I could wash up to hook up his antiobiotics, then took off back out hunting with the antibiotics infusing.
Yep, he got a deer that year!
It does take some preparation and planning ahead, but it is worth it!
