90% of people with High Blood pressure and/or high cholesterol have do not have control over it, unless they take prescription meds. Both of these conditions can also be genetics, Being in the health profession, I know MANY people that are in very great shape but still suffer from one of these conditions, Genetics, genetics, genetics, and the only thing that is controlling them is meds.</end quote></div>

ding ding ding.........You are correct!
Genetics does play a large role in these conditions. Not everyone who is overweight is that way from eating too much or being lazy. High cholesterol and high blood pressure can also be caused by genetics.

But Amy-don't you think the insurance companies would want to avoid more expenses in the future (hospital visits, etc) and try to keep me healthy now? This drug is a fraction of the price that hospital stays, lung transplants, etc. would cost.

I just called the insurance company and apparently it was the umbrella plan we are under (Master Builders Association) that changed their policy (the drug coverage changed). They are having the marketing person at my insurance company that deals with the Builders Association call me back, so we'll see if that actually happens.

I'll let you know what happens with all of this.

And good news on the Endowment....I need to get my app sent off today! I relaly hope they can help cover it!

No - they don't. Their concern is current profit margin, not the welfare of an individual.
