Feeling a little better today. I still have the pain, but I'm not coughing as much. I used the h saline twice already today and will try it again tonite, to help clear out my chest.

Feeling slightly worse today and coughing up some nasty brown crud. My chest still hurts when I cough, but it seems to be easing ever so slightly. Still no fever. I guess if I'm still feeling bad on Monday, I will call the doc back and see if he recommends Iv's. Monday will mean I've been sick for about a week.

John maybe we can be IV buddies. Monday marks week 2 of my being sick like you with the pain and burning and such. I am going also to see if on Monday they want me on IVs. Take care and feel better!

My doctor says that if oral antibiotics aren't making any kind of improvement in 7-10 days, that it is time to move on to IV's. John are you taking any oral antibiotics yet?

No oral antibiotics. Cipro didn't work last time anyway. Just the inhaled gentamicin. I'm feeling slightly better after an awful night. I had a fever last night, but felt much better after my treatments this morning. This is also the first day my sputum color has improved. I still have lo grade fevers though.

I spoke to the nurse at the clinic today and have an appt. in the morning. We discussed admitting me, and that is a possibility. Based on how I'm feeling now, I think its going to be about 50-50 as to whether they admit me. They will be ticked because I know I've lost weight and that is a big issue with them, as it should be. I don't know if they'll check pft's, since I'm not feeling good, and I think its a given that they'll be down 5-10 percent. (Yikes!, I can't afford to lose weight or pft's)

I would appreciate your prayers, thanks for your interest,

John
