I have the flu. I am on day 2 of Tamiflu and day 4 of symptoms. Has anyone else had the flu despite having the flu shot? I've only ever had the flu once before and it was when I didn't get the flu shot and it turned into pneumonia (in 1999). My lungs are doing okay. A little burning which concerns me but I am plugging away at doing my pt nonetheless. Just feeling miserable. Any suggestions?</end quote></div>

Sorry you are sick, the flu seems to be really making its way around this year. But I have not got a flu vaccine in years, and not had the flu, except last week I got really sick. I went to my family doc and she put me on bactrim, and the flu symptoms cleared right up. It's just that I got this crude cough and it's productive as all hell. I went to clinic, and despite all this, my pft's were 70%. My doctor put me on doxycycline. I think it's working, but it has alot of restrictions. Like you can't take it with certain things, or you have to wait a few hours.

My only suggestion is to remain compliant, but we are on a slippery slope. Because despite being 100% compliant, we can STILL get ill.
