I am pretty sure you can, but only select hospitals will do it. I think in the U.S. there are only a few. I am not sure about other countries. Hopefully someone else will be more helpful than I am, sorry.
My nurse told me of a cf patient, who had cepacia who had a transplant . ( i am in pennsylvania). She had to have it done in Chicago i believe, because they do not do transplants on cf patients with cepacia here in pa. . From what i know, only certain hospitals will do it. We are in the process now of looking at transplant. OUr daughter has cepecia. The hospital we are looking into is Duke...They seem to be the most recommended. The one thing that we foubnd out is that depending on the typwe of cepecia you have determins if they will except you or not....<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
