For the last few months i have kind of neglected my treatment cos my studies have taken over ,and this has been reflected in my fev1 down from 87 to 75 in the space of 3 months.Since calming down on treatment i have developed a soreness in my right lung that i have never had before. What i want to know is this due to infections in the lung and have others experienced this kind of pain before

thanx

sounds like pleural pains to me though there are so many things it could be I think. ANyway mine is normally a precursor to getting really sick.

Probably either infection and/or congestion. I get pains in my lungs when I am really congested. Are you on Hypertonic Saline? You should breathe some of that and cough as much stuff out as possible. Get on some Mucinex too, to help loosen some of that stuff up. Another thing that I do during my treatments is get a heating pad or a hot wash cloth and place on my chest. That will help you cough up as well. Good luck to you!

I usually can pinpoint the pain in my lungs during an infection. Might be time for a checkup. And remember, you are worth putting your health first!
