In answer to the question about my phone Number, No i didnt give it to him. I took his, but didnt give him mine.

Fred ~ He had a newer truck that was obviously worked. He was showing off each time he was first at a light, but i could see his launch lacked something, where mine does not, so i knew if we lined em up at a light i was going to take him off the line. I asked him if he knew what his car ran in the quarter mile and he said mid 13's. This at least gives me an idea of what to expect when i go to the track this summer. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

13 at a 1/4 mile, that seems a bit slow to me (though I got used to kilometers now)...did you put a manual in your car, or is it a really tight-wound automatic?

LOL great idea Fred, i never thought of that. I have an automatic 3 speed - 350 turbo trans. I have a B&M Mega Shifter ( slapstick). In terms of track times 13's is pretty fast in the quarter mile. The average car would do 17's- 18's....... a decently fast car might be mid to high 14's.... a real all-out race car would do 10's or lower( my car is somewhere in between). I took a pass in my friends 10 second 1969 Camaro at the track once and it was just too fast for me ( this car does wheelstands when it takes off) I once asked my doctor if racing could be a problem with the lungs and he said he had no idea since there havent been any studies on it, but i'll tell you when i hit the pedal to the metal, i can feel it in my chest, It throws you back so hard. But believe me when im doing a burnout and the car starts going sideways theres no better feeling than that. That is such a high all by itself....uhhhhh i could go on and on but i'll shut up now....lol
