Hello friends! My name is Melissa. I am 24 years old. I am doing my first ever CF strides walk May 15. I am currently awaiting a lung transplant, so raising money for a cure is more important to me now, more than ever. I would appreciate any donations anyone would like to make, whether it be $1 or $5. Please do not be offended by this. We all have our own walk teams for Great Strides. Most of us here are actively fundraising right now, which helps you, ours, us!

im sure not everybody is doing it.. and this is my first walk. i am just trying to do my best. and i donated to other ppls teams for support as well...

The way to get donations certainly isn't by making people feel guilty for not being able to sponsor your team. I can only speak for myself, but I didn't even see this thread until today. Like Tonya said most of us our doing our own walks too. Speaking for myself it is unfortunate that I am not rolling in the cash because there are many, many teams I would sponsor.

I wish you the best of luck with raising money! I think with this economy we all need it.

We have a team Aidan's All Stars and I have been working for months to raise money...Each year, we raise about $35,000. It all goes to the same place...CFF.

We personally appreciate everyones efforts in their Great Strides campaigns.
