CF Haiku Contest!

A day off of work has been had
To be honest I really am glad
On IV's I get tired
But now I'm inspired
These poems help to not make me so sad :)

The tingle of colistin I feel
Makes me not even want a good meal
The zosyn is bad
It's the first time I've had
Perhaps a banana I'll peel

Tobra and Ceftaz are true
But the last time I felt like the flu
Now this new antibiotic
Makes me feel quite psychotic
I don't like these ones that are new

Some Go-Litely is what I will drink
It should take down this tummy I think
You know that it's bad
if 2 days have been had
and nothing has come to make stink!

It's time for my 1 oclock med
I should probably get out of bed
I've had so much fun
With these poems we've done
I can't wait for more to be said (or read).

I hate when everyone sees
My shaky old-man knees.
When I go down the stairs,
I appear to be scared,
And my explanations no one believes.




Whenever I start to sweat,
My shirt gets dripping wet.
So turn on the AC
And point it toward me,
Or a arm-pit hug you'll get!



If vampires or warewolves did bite
On my salty skin tonight,
"He's preseasoned!" they'd say
And without delay
Devour me to their delight.



I am the man with CF
At romance I am the best
You cannot resist
When I give you a kiss
Of my magnificent medicine breath.



I cough and I cough and I cough
And I cough and I cough and I cough
And I hack and I spit
And on the toilet I sit
And I cough and I cough and I cough.




Limerick I thought would be fun,
But of takers I see only one.
Is rhyme too hard
For the amateur bard?
Or can't they make limerick glum?
