CF mucus

This doesn't sound normal. A small amount in your gut maybe, but I have digestive issues and have never seen any in my stools.

I don't think this is directly cf related. Sounds like an infection.

Do you spit out all mucus that you cough up?

Aka, this happens to me too but on a much smaller scale. It sounds to me like your body just produces a tremendous amount of mucus in your reproductive system. If there is a smell then that is an infection. There is a big difference between a yeast infection and normal discharge. I found out thru my gyno that CF women produce mucus in their discharge. Ok, as for the stool..I have had mucus in my stool as well. I have really not let it bother me. I feel for you and I know this must suck but everything about CF sucks...it just about getting thru the day. Let me know how it goes<img src="i/expressions/sun.gif" border="0">

I have such an issue coughing up my chest mucus. It is so thick that I have all I can do to move it. I also have very mild Cerebral palsy that may make it harder for me to move it.

So no I don't do very well getting my chest mucus out. Once when I was on NG-tube feedings I ended up getting the NG in my lung and the mucus that was in there was just awful! I could not get over that my body made so much mucus. It was a full 60cc's.. I was like, thats why I have such issues breathing and why I cough so much. man..

Also missT I think your right about the mucus I get with my stools I have been told it's a part of CF and that my body just makes way to much of it. I know I will never be able to have chidren due to this issue. That part makes me sad. I have very bad peroids they aslo are full of thick mucus and very hard on me.
