CFRD supplements

I have an over the counter bottle of "cinnamon force" that claims to help maintain a healthy blood sugar level. I am not really sure if it works or not. Anybody have any input? I am borderline CFRD, and I don't have it all figured out yet. Has anyone heard of any other similar pills?

Does anyone know of any supplements that may help with lowering or regulating blood sugar levels?

I have heard about it tho I dont know details. I would ASSume that like anything else that is suppose to help things....it depends on the amount used. Often the required amount to get the benefit is not a realistic amount to get in you.

I heard this as well about cinnamon. My mom brought it up to me once I was diagnosed with cfrd. She worked with a woman whose diabetes was so bad that insulin didn't help enough...she started taking cinnamon pills and instantly her health improved. I have never tried taking cinnamon regularly, however, there have been times that I've eaten MANY things containing cinnamon in them and ended up with low blood sugar by the time I go to bed. Unfortunately, taking cinnamon (whether it works or not) will not stop cfrd in its tracks, but it may help get your sugars under control if nothing else will.

Interesting!

This is a link to a quick search I made on Cinnamon:

Can Cinnamon Help Lower Blood Glucose and Cholesterol?

Has me wondering if the reason why I often feel I got low blood sugar is cause I may be intaking an unusual amount of cinnamon these days (I don't think I'm border CFRD, either)
