Changing the Mic Key button?

At my clinic appointment Tuesday they are supposed to change my Mic Key to a new one. Does it hurt? They've never changed it before because I haven't had it too long. I'm freaking out! The GI doctor I'll see is kind of...rough and not very gentle with this kind of stuff. Also, the area around the button has been sore and hurting today, will changing the button make it feel better?
I kind of wish I could do it myself and get it over with lol.
Thanks!

My daughter always changes her owen. You just need to make sure to remove the water from the ballon before removing and then insert new one and put water back in ballon. She has between 4 and 5 cc's. She has done this for years and is now 17. IT should'nt hurt. Tell him that the site is sore and have him look at it for you. Good Luck!

From what I remember (I got mine out a few years ago), you can certainly feel it, but it doesn't hurt. It is kind of a weird sensation, but like Cherylwithone said, as long as all the water is out, it should go in and out pretty easy!

Good luck!
