Chest wall pain

I've had some chest wall pain lately. I've had it off an on in the past. It would last for maybe a half hour and then go away. I've now had it off and on over the last week or so. On a pain scale from 1 to 10, it's probably a 1 but it is annoying because it's become constant. It doesn't get worse on breathing. It does get better when I rub the area so I am pretty sure it's the chest wall. Right now it's predominately on the left side below the breast and over a rib. Any centered in the middle of the left side of my chest. Anyone had anything similar? I thought it might be related to when I eat but it seems weird that my chest wall would be affected. I can't tell if it gets better with breathing treatments or not.
Thanks for your help.

It could be just your lungs sticking to your chest wall. Ur pleura gets moved around and sometimes it sticks. Happens to me ALL the time. Sometimes lasting a very long time. I try to hold my breath, that sometimes seems to help. If not well i would see a doc.
