Chicken Pox

I had the chicken pox when I was 19. I was miserable the first 24 hours with a fever and then for the rest of the week I was driving-mad itchy. The chicken pox didn't affect my CF one bit (except for having them down my throat and it made coughing very interesting). My mom let my CF doctors know what happened.... they were not concerned at all since the fever dropped with the necessary medication.

I seem to recall that DS' doctor's concern was with the potential for cells to slough off into his lungs, thus the anti-viral.

I had CP at 12. I had a fever for a few days and lots of itchy dots, but I didn't have any problems with my lungs or other CF-related concerns. I got it over winter vacation, and didn't have to miss any school for it. The only problem I have is a scar on my forehead from one of the pox, and an aversion to the smell of calamine lotion <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">.
