How did you deliver your child? Vaginal or C-Section? Was there one recommended by your OBGYM over the other because of CF?

I delivered by c section due to my history of hemoptysis. I was in excellent health (except for some hemoptysis toward the end) & had no complications, but they were afraid to allow me to go thru labor & pushing. Not to mention that the little bit of braxton hicks pains I had made me appreciate not having to go thru labor LOL!

I had a normal vaginal delivery 2 weeks early. My labor wasn't bad at all, but the pushing at the end was tiring and I did end up getting a little bit short of breath, though I didn't require oxygen or anything like that. My OBGYN didn't see any reason in my case to do a c-section and the delivery was uncomplicated.

I have now had two babies, both came early, my son at 34.5 weeks and daughter at 36 weeks, though both were perfectly healthy and came right home with me. Both births were vaginal, I had an epidural with my son and absolutely nothing with my daughter. There was never any question as to if I would need O2 or anything like that in labor and I didn't get short of breath pushing. I will say that I did have to cough once with both babes during a contraction and that really hurt, but I made it!

I had both of my babies by csection due to the fact that I have had a prolapse repaired and have had minor problem with it. Nobody could tell me if the pushing would cause problems or not and I did not want to go through labor and have to end up having the behind worked on to not mention the chance of a major infection.
