Ah..Scarlett, franky I do give a d**n!
Welcome to the club...don't worry about those "blonde moments", even the brunettes get them once in a while!! As for the TOBI, sorry to hear that factor has to be added in!!

As a warning, the "Report to the Moderator" may have consequences of whom you are reporting to be banned--someone banned can NEVER come back again--so we have to be carefull about our judgement with that.
Personally, I don't have much to be tattled on, at least not up to this point!!

You may have noticed by now that as a member, you have to check and make sure you are logged in before posting, or you become "anonymous" (Most of us had done that at LEAST once! me included!), when you post. And you notice the "Chat" button now appears on the top!!
Most cases, just click the little "CHAT" button, and keep an eye on the window, if no one seems to be there or not, sometimes the person already there may be "multi-tasking" and not have their window "up". If no one is there, eventually, someone will appear.
BTW, I don't recall a city in the U.S. called "Westminster", are you from England? (sorry, haven't been visiting like I used to--which used to be ALOT!)

Quick Question-

Do I call you Fred, Rice Man, or just 65rosesamuri?

I wish it was Westminster, England. I was actually talking about the Westminster Annual Dog show in New York city. It's like the biggest dog sporting event in the US. I was there with my breeder and all our dogs. (Boxers and Doberman Pinschers)

And yes, Rhett- I confess I named my doggie after Scarlett O'Hara. She's one of my favorite heroines.

And by the way, you all don't have to worry about me being a "report to the moderator" type! I'm not like that. Sure, I may give a lecture to a meanie, but I wouldn't want anyone banned for life. That's really harsh. I guess they'd have to do something really bad.

You can call me Fred (like most seem to do), or 65rosessamurai (like the "newbies" do), or "Samurai" (like the fellow warriors do! hehe )

I love dogs, but never really considered to go as far as to "show" them (a lack of discipline on my part!)
I hope to someday have a dog for a pet, but right now I have a mother-in-law (untrained) and that's a load!

I've seen the movie (finally sat down one day to see what the big deal was, wasn't too bad a story!), but thought Rhett was a little to harsh!!
Anyway, I find "Charlies Angels" (old and new) as my favorite heroines!

Hmm, New York...I'm originally from Detroit! The biggest shows I can think of there, are the Auto shows, which I miss!! (used to work for Ford Motor, before I came to this place!)

Wow, very cool. So you must know everything about cars. Did you like Detroit?

If you were to get a dog, what breed would you choose? At the shows there is every breed you can find. (Just like a car show, I guess!)

So what do you do for work now?

I KNEW a lot about cars, but so much has changed in the past 13 years that I owned one!! I just got one last June, and LOVE IT!! It's a Suzuki, but in Japan, that IS a domestic car!! I got the stereo separate (not factory installed), so it Jams, too!!

IF I were to trade the Mother-in-law for a dog, a Sheltie would be my first choice--compact and an "apartment dog", which would suit living in the house we live in just perfect-we have NO front or back yard for a dog! A German Shepard would be the second choice, due to the fact they are A) considered very intellegent B) another good form of "Home Security" (Better than the Mother-in-law!)
Though I had this odd dream the other day of a pure white, slightly long haired puppy with a curly tail (which I expected to get fairly big)...no idea if that was all a figment of my imagination, or if it fills my "dream dog" or not.
I thought a miniature doberman was cute, too!!

As for what I do for work now, see the "Does anybody read their DVD manuals, anymore" in the CF non-topic section, where I was asked the same question by Risa. Basically, I have started doing English proofreading for Instruction Manuals, but just started the job last month. I used to work in a company related to my electronics skills, but after a company re-structure 3 years ago, my skills were not being utilized, and I was literally getting ill from the stress involved from the job.
So, do you do anything else, other than breed dogs, and admire art? Or is dog-breeding a job, not a hobby for you?

Actually, I admire dogs, and I breed paintings.

I am a proffesional artist. I do private commission for people, murals, art shows-which don't make any money, but are good advertising. I work when I'm healthy enough. I am having a dry spell though. I'm losing my inspiration. It comes and goes. People always say, oh with your health problems, painting must be so relaxing to you. Hah! Painting to me is not relaxing at all. It is very stressful. It's exactly like sitting and doing math problems all day, b/c the types of painting I do is all math. Proportion and stuff. It's a business.

I am thining about slowing down on that and starting either a cake decorating shop (like high end wedding cakes) or wedding coordinator. They would still allow me to be creative, and I think I enjoy those things more.

I breed occasionally. My breeder and I only breed our females 2 times in their lives, so they don't have too many health problems when they get older. And to keep the line "clean", to avoid genetic health problems- in-breeding. I love dog showing, but I could never do it for a living. For those people , their work is their life. They work like 12 hour days every weekend. No vacations. By the way-there were some beautiful Shelties at the show. And they're a very good breed, similar to Shepherds in a way. The "herding" instinct.

Other than dogs and art, I am very involved in my religous community. I do volunteer Bible/grief counseling, youth counseling. I also have a huge family, many of them next door. I have 9 siblings, and my hubby has 8. That keeps me busy.

What about you? Family? I'm assuming if you have a mother in law, you have a wife? What's she like? WHat do you do for fun/hobbies?
