cleaning nebs

I am sure this has been covered before...please bear with me.
how does everyone else clean their nebs. Soap and water after each use? strerilizing? Mircowave? Stove top? I am new to this inhaled stuff still.

ALL I DO IS RUN IT UNDER HOT WATER, RINSE IT OUT, AIR DRY ON A PAPER TOWEL... 1X WEEK I PUT IN LARGE BOWL W/ WHITE VINGAR AND WATER FOR 1 HOUR JUST TO DISINFECT... ITS SIMPLE, DONT GET TOO MANY CHEMACALS IN IT, SOMETIMES THEY DONT COME COME OUT... HOT WATER IN FINE... THATS MY ADVICE...

i was told to let them soak in hot soapy water for about 10 mins... wash them.. and boil for 5 mins... then dry


vinager is no longer recomended for disinfectant....

I dont boil mine at all. I rinse them in REALLY hot water holding them with tongs so I dont burn myself. Once a month I let them soak in bleach & rinse well with REALLY hot water. I dont use viniger for a few reasons. One that it isnt recommended anymore (tho I never really went by that) & two I always have bleach in my house so its easier then buying something seperate. Mine air dry.

My doc said that I could put mine through the dishwasher. I rinse them really well after using, then put them in a basket made for baby supplies (bottle tops, pacifiers and whatnot), then just run them through with the dishes. I've found it is a reallly easy way to deal with them and a lot less hectic than the other options my doctor mentioned.

We don't run our dishwasher every day --- more like once or twice a week and I feel that it's important to boil/sterilize our nebs at least once a day.
