Cleaning the hypertonic saline vial?

If you mix your own 7% hypertonic saline, and especially if you get it from the CF Services Pharmacy, how do you clean the vial you mix it in? I checked where they told me to on the directions, but the website only had directions for general cleaning of nebs. Right now I am filling it with alcohol and letting it sit for 5 minutes (at least) and then rinsing it with the previously boiled water. Any tips?

Oh, and as a side note, can we post pics in our posts? (I'd like to post a pic so you can see which vial I have, if it's possible. I have a Photobucket account.)

I would think just running it under hot water and letting it air dry would work. Is it the tall skinny clearish vial? I get all my meds from CF services pharmacy.

Hmm. The neb directions said to not use unpurified water (no straight from the tap).*sigh* I guess I may just call them and see if anyone there knows. Sure would be easy to disinfect it (if I need to) if it will just go in the boiling pot with the nebs<img src="">.

Oh, and yes, it is, with the hexagon (I think-LOL) bottom?

The one that you mix the 10% and the .9 % saline in to get the 7% solution. I'll go take a pic and see if I can post it . Be right back.

OK I never got such a thing. I mix mine right in the neb cup. Odd....very odd. I ordered mine thru CF Pharmacy. Where did you get yours?
