CLUBBING

I remember my doctors telling me they check clubbing out of curiosity more than anything else. While clubbing is used to indicate a heart or lung condition, it really can't be used to measure severity.

One thing that is interesting: I notice my toes are clubbed way more than my fingers are. I wonder if that's normal?

Clubbing can also be caused by digestive diseases, other than CF, like Celiacs. There are a lot of reasons for clubbing. I have also read that it can be reversed when problems are corrected. That seems crazy to me!

I have my ups and down with CF but I noticed that when I am doing really good ( lung function), my fingers look less clubbed. And my toes are always more clubbed than my fingers, for sure. If I paint my toes red, they look like a bunch of cherries!
